public class ImagePlayer
extends CloseableFrame
implements java.awt.event.ActionListener

This class creates a JFrame which in turn will contain as many internal JInternalFrame(s) as required. Each JInternalFrame will play all the images that are found within the specified directory tree.

java.util.List framesList

A List that holds references to all the SlideShow JInternalFrames spawned by the application.

slideShowsMenu

javax.swing.JMenu slideShowsMenu

The JMenu that holds a list of all the SlideShow JInternalFrames spawned by the application. This menu can be used to switch between the individual frames.

ImagePlayer

public ImagePlayer()

Default constructor. Just calls ImagePlayer( String ) constructor.

ImagePlayer

public ImagePlayer(java.lang.String title)

Creates a new Frame with the specified title.

Creates a Play menu item that displays a JFileChooser which prompts the user to select the desired directory tree from which to start playing images. Each call to Play will create a new SlideShow which will display the image files sequentially, in an endless loop.

Each time a new SlideShow instance is created, a JMenuItem is created and added to the slideShowsMenu menu. The menu can be used to switch between the JInternalFrames.

Parameters:

title - - The title to set for the main frame.

Method Detail

main

public static void main(java.lang.String[] args)

Creates an instance of ImagePlayer and set its initial size and layout. No command-line arguments are processed.

actionPerformed

public void actionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent e)

The method from java.awt.event.ActionListener that handles events that are fired by the components in the menu bar.

The Play event fires an action that displays a JFileChooser that displays directories. A new JInternalFrame will be created that starts showing images in the selected directory.

The Exit event fires an action that closes all the JInternalFrames that are displaying images, and then closes the application.
